LATE SUMMER - EARTH

Abundance - Stability - Balance

Organ - Stomach/Spleen/digestion, Element - Earth

Between the summer heat and the autumn coolness there is a period when Mother Nature pauses - a transition.

It's a time when we gather in the harvest from nature and practice gratitude for the abundance it brings.

In Qigong earth energy relates to the ability to be

stable, balanced and hold our 'centre'.

We practice feeling the connection between our feet and the earth, soothing and letting go any tension from our back, legs and feet.

Earth is the framework which holds life together. This view of the world enables us to draw on our resources and find the balance in our lives.  Work, family, relationships, play.

Allowing us to 'hold centre' when life gets chaotic.

When we take on too much - overthinking situations it can lead us to feel overwhelmed and tense.

In Chinese medicine the spleen is said to house our thoughts and intentions.  By doing Qigong practice that nourishes the spleen/stomach we also help to clear and focus the mind.

This enables us to relax and live more mindfully

Our Qigong practice is to allow us to connect deeply to earth.

Focus the mind on sending roots from the soles of the feet deep into the earth.

Connect with the source of nourishment from Mother Earth

This brings stability and balance to life.

Focusing our intention on the movements brings the mind and Qi into balance and life into harmony
